Meta One subscription: is €43.99 per month worth it for a business?

In brief

Meta One mainly pays off when a profile already has strong organic reach and link posts bring measurable traffic. On my account, the Advanced plan raised Facebook link posts from two to eight a month and added clickable links in Instagram posts and Reels. Pricing is per profile, so Facebook and Instagram together can cost twice as much. If the goal is sales or leads, the same money may work harder in Meta ads.

Meta One subscription: is €43.99 per month worth it for a business?

Meta One presents businesses and creators with an uncomfortable choice: pay to use more links in organic content or put the same money into advertising?

I took a closer look at the Meta One Advanced offer shown in my account. The biggest change concerns external links on Facebook, but the decision also affects Instagram marketing, measurement and the balance between organic and paid content.

Important note: Meta One is being rolled out gradually. Pricing, features and limits may vary by account, profile type and region. The figures below are based on the offer shown in my account in September 2026. Always check the terms displayed in your own account before subscribing.

What is Meta One?

Meta One bundles paid features for professional Facebook and Instagram profiles. The Advanced offer shown to me includes more posts with links, additional analytics, competitor insights and other professional tools.

The most important detail is that the subscription applies per profile, not to the company's entire Meta presence. If you want Advanced for both a Facebook Page and an Instagram professional account, you may need two separate subscriptions.

The notice shown in my account says that a Facebook Page without a subscription can publish two organic posts with external links per month. Meta One Advanced raises this limit to eight Facebook link posts per month.

Advanced costs €43.99 per month in my account. If links are your main reason for subscribing, you are effectively paying €43.99 for six additional Facebook link posts each month.

This does not mean a Facebook Page can no longer publish organic content without a subscription. Images, videos, Reels and text without external links remain available. The website link on the business profile also remains clickable.

The Instagram side of the offer is more interesting. The Advanced package shown in my account allows up to four linked feed posts and four linked Reels per month.

That can be useful for brands that already have strong organic reach on Instagram. Letting people move directly from a post to a product, campaign page or booking removes an unnecessary step from the customer journey.

A clickable link does not make weak content perform better, however. If organic reach is limited, adding links may not generate enough traffic or sales to justify the monthly fee.

One price may not cover Facebook and Instagram

Meta One is priced per profile. In my account, the calculation looked like this:

This is what changes the value calculation. A monthly fee that initially looks modest can add up to €1,055.76 per year for two profiles.

Meta's own Widely Viewed Content reports show that posts containing external links account for a very small share of Facebook Feed views. In the 2026 US data, the share was approximately one per cent.

This figure needs context. It is US data, not Estonian, European or global data. It measures views, not the share of posts businesses publish with links. Even so, it provides useful perspective: the organic Facebook Feed is not primarily a website traffic channel today.

Meta's Widely Viewed Content reports provide more context on what people actually see in the Facebook Feed.

Meta One or Meta Ads?

For a small business, I would compare two options before subscribing:

If a particular piece of content is meant to drive website traffic, enquiries or sales, you can use the same creative and message in Ads Manager with a clickable URL and clear call to action.

I would choose Ads Manager over simply boosting the post because it gives you much better control over campaign objectives, audiences, placements, optimisation and measurement. You can also read about paid media and other marketing services.

When could Meta One be worth it?

Meta One may be a sensible investment when:

Think twice before subscribing when:

A practical recommendation for small businesses

Before subscribing, review the last three months of your Facebook and Instagram analytics. Record clicks from organic link posts, quality website visits, enquiries and sales. Then calculate how much additional value you would need each month to justify a cost of €43.99 or €87.98.

My recommended split is simple:

Meta One can complement this model, but it cannot replace strong content or a considered advertising strategy. And perhaps that is exactly the behaviour Meta is hoping to encourage: fewer free external links and more investment in Meta Ads.
